THE GURU COOKIE!

Updated: Aug 9

This COOKIE has muscle to be the best cookie of its kind ever! I cannot take credit here aside from my own hands, intentions and love when I am making them for family and friends. All praise goes to the heart of (kitchen) The Sivanada Ashram where I spent sometime in practice and study along my journey. This recipe has met many individuals and has developed many lasting and loving relationships through its time. With gratitude for all the nourishment of my spent at the Ashram, the teachings and lineage, I decided to name the recipe THE GURU COOKIE - WAHE GURU!

To enhance the flavour prepare with loving hands and chant from your heart through the process of making! Enjoy!

THE GURU COOKIE

1 RIPE BANANA - MUSH in a small to medium size bowl

then add:

1 cup sugar (numerous alternatives to experiment with) FYI: I use half the sugar

1/3 cup butter (substitute butter for coconut oil, earth's best vegan butter)

Teaspoon Vanilla

keep wet ingredients separate...

In a larger bowl add:

1 1/2 cup flour (spelt, gluten free)

1/2-1 cup oats (gluten free)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

then add:

1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

1 cup chocolate chips (many options available)

optional to sprinkle in or to substitute for chocolate chips:

1 cup nuts/seeds/cranberries/raisins

Add the wet ingredients to your larger bowl (dry ingredients) and lovingly mix. Use a tablespoon to measure out cooke size - scoop up batter and plop on baking pan. Space well. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 min to lightly brown or longer depending on your oven

*Recommended to use fresh, organic ingredients whenever possible.
